Peter van Hardenberg

Peter van Hardenberg founded the Heroku Postgres team, a service that provides the largest pool of Postgres databases in the world. His experience gave him a significant appreciation for the power and reliability of PostgreSQL at scale as well as robbing him of several years of good night's sleep. These days, Peter spends more time querying Postgres databases for product analysis than he does operating them. When he isn't speaking at conferences he resides in San Francisco where he can often be found on a bicycle remarking on how much warmer California is than his home country of Canada.
